Crieff’s Empty Building Study Complete
In the autumn of 2016 Crieff Community Trust was awarded £7ooo from the Scottish Land Fund and £1o,ooo from Perth & Kinross Council to conduct an Options Appraisal of Crieff’s empty buildings and to have a valuation of the former Drummond Arms Hotel in James Square.
CCT appointed consultants Community Enterprise to carry out the work which involved extensive consultation of the community, looking at the market and also at current government policy. The work was completed in January 2017 and the document finalised in April. A pdf of the study is available to view and download here.
Any other groups looking to regenerate an empty building in Crieff will be able to use the document to demonstrate community need for their project.
Part of the work was to have the Drummond Arms valued. CCT commissioned a building valuation on 7th February by J & E Shepherd. The building was valued at £30,000.
