Funding received for Crieff-to-Comrie Core Path study

Gannochy Trust logo75CCT is delighted to announce that we have received funding from the Gannochy Trust and Scottish Natural Heritage to carry out a survey and feasibility study in relation to the Crieff to Comrie Core Path.

The study will focus on the section of path between Trowan and Comrie, and will identify the costs involved in developing the path (including building and repairing bridges) and providing measures to address the concerns raised by the land owners.

These grants, totalling £14,750, provide match funding for a grant received by Perth & Kinross Council from Sustrans (Community Links Programme).  The involvement of SNH in funding this project is an indication of the strategic importance of this path which, it is hoped, will form part of the Three Saints Way pilgrim route, contributing eventually to the creation of a national Pilgrim Trail from St Andrews to Iona.
