Works to improve High Street bus stops starting on 22 Feb 2016

CCT have been sent the following information from Perth & Kinross Council in relation to improvements to the High Street bus stops in Crieff.  If you have any questions, please contact Moray Fraser, tel 01738 477370. Crieff Paths Group – path maintenance meet – 27 Feb 2016

Local residents with an interest in maintaining footpaths will want to join the Crieff Paths Group for their first meet of the new year on Saturday 27 February 2016 in Acorn Dell. (Meet at the Taylor Park car park in Crieff (Turretbank Road) at 10.00am. The group will aim to finish about 3.00pm.) The scope of work will involve a general tidy up around the new Acorn Dell path. Crieff Paths Group announces work party dates for 2016

This year, the Crieff Paths Group has decided to pre-program dates for path maintenance activity rather than announce ad hoc working parties as in previous years.  The group hopes that this will allow volunteers to plan ahead. Acorn Dell expected to reopen on Friday 12 February

Thanks to EVERYONE for your patience and cooperation while work has been going on to improve the section of Lady Mary’s Walk that runs through Acorn Dell (along the Turret Burn). Work will be completed this week, and the path will be reopened to the public on Friday 12 February. The contractors have nearly finished, but the path needs a day or two to settle, and the contractors will be back on Friday to dust and roll the first section of the path. Acorn Dell path to be closed for improvements

Work to improve the path through Acorn Dell in Crieff is planned to begin next week (on Monday 25 January), weather permitting. This section of path is the first part of the 200 year old Lady Mary’s Walk, starting at Turret Bank Road and running along the Turret Burn. The work, by contractors Thomson Landscapes, will take approximately 2-3 weeks, and this entire section of the path will be closed to members of the public during the work period. Clarification — today’s report about plans for the old Primary School

The front page of this week's Strathearn Herald (19 November 2015) has incorrectly reported details of an agreement between CCT and Perth & Kinross Council regarding Crieff’s former Primary School. CCT has not secured a lease on the school. Representatives of CCT met with senior staff from Perth & Kinross Council's Planning and Development at the end of October and it was agreed, in principle, that we could occupy (and develop) the premises for a period of 2 – 3 years. Path team work party at Bennybeg, Thursday evening, 3rd September

The Crieff Paths Group have scheduled their next work party at Bennybeg on Thursday evening, 3 September.  All are welcome to come along and join in the efforts. Meet at the Bennybeg car park at 18:30. Planned finish about 20:30. The work will entail cutting back the vegetation for a couple of feet on either side of the path.  Tools will be provided although you may wish to bring your own secateurs.
