Help shape Crieff’s first co-working space

The Crieff Co-working Steering Group and Crieff Community Trust have been working on all the behind the scenes activities to get a co-working hub, Can Do Crieff, open in the first part of 2018. Views sought on Perth & Kinross Proposed Local Development Plan and Environmental Report

Dates have been set for the Proposed Local Development Plan and Environmental Report consultation from 1 December 2017 until 4 pm on 2 February 2018. The Proposed Local Development Plan sets out planning policies and identifies development proposals across Perth and Kinross. When adopted, the Local Development Plan will form the basis for determining planning applications and guide future development in the Perth and Kinross area. Bennybeg path work party, THIS Saturday

The next path group task is scheduled for this Saturday, 2nd December, at Bennybeg. As the grass doesn't get mown there very often, the path has become very narrow due to vegetation growing on the path surface. The worst affected parts are near the main gate at the car park. The plan The task will consist of widening the path here by simply scraping this vegetation off so that wheelchairs and prams will be able to access it more easily again. When and where? CCT Receives Big Lottery Funding

CCT has some ambitious projects in the works and we realised we really needed a specific pair of paid hands in the form of a Development Officer to help make them happen. In the summer we applied to Big Lottery Scotland for funding. We were successful with our application and were awarded £80,450 over a three year period by the Big Lottery. Balsam Blitz at Turretbank Wood

Crieff’s Empty Building Study Complete

In the autumn of 2016 Crieff Community Trust was awarded £7ooo from the Scottish Land Fund and £1o,ooo from Perth & Kinross Council to conduct an Options Appraisal of Crieff's empty buildings and to have a valuation of the former Drummond Arms Hotel in James Square. CCT appointed consultants Community Enterprise to carry out the work which involved extensive consultation of the community, looking at the market and also at current government policy.
