Since sharing our exciting news last week that CCT had acquired the former Drummond Arms hotel, the positive comments and responses have been outstanding. It’s really great to know we have the continued support of the community as we work towards a long term, sustainable solution for this much loved building. Crieff Community Trust has secured the title of the former Drummond Arms Hotel While the crumbling 'B' listed property, which is on the national Buildings At Risk Register, was left to fall into major disrepair and give rise to dangerous situations, CCT has been working very hard navigating countless obstacles to secure the building and bring it back into use for the benefit of Crieff. Himalayan Balsam Blitz

Crieff Community Trust is calling for volunteers to help tackle the Himalayan Balsam in Turretbank Wood again this year. Himalayan Balsam is an invasive, non-native plant that spreads rapidly and out competes our native woodland plants and flowers. If we don't keep on top of it, it can colonise large areas and all the insects, birds and animals that rely on our native plants and flowers will suffer. Cash for Crieff

We are very pleased to announce that we have £40,000 available for groups operating for the benefit of Crieff.  The money comes from the Scottish Government's Community Choices Fund and will be allocated to groups using a process called participatory budgeting.  This means the community decides who gets the cash through a public vote.  The community also helped to decide the various terms of the fund by attending a focus group to vote on their preferred options.  This is where we came up with the name Cash for Crieff.  All Crieff residents will…Read more …

Crieff Community Trust is seeking a person with strong third sector experience to work with the Board and CCT’s Community Development Officer to review and refresh the Community Action Plan in collaboration with Crieff’s other community groups;  help establish a social enterprise in one of Crieff’s empty buildings and help with organisation development of the Board. Help shape Crieff’s first co-working space

The Crieff Co-working Steering Group and Crieff Community Trust have been working on all the behind the scenes activities to get a co-working hub, Can Do Crieff, open in the first part of 2018. Views sought on Perth & Kinross Proposed Local Development Plan and Environmental Report

Dates have been set for the Proposed Local Development Plan and Environmental Report consultation from 1 December 2017 until 4 pm on 2 February 2018. The Proposed Local Development Plan sets out planning policies and identifies development proposals across Perth and Kinross. When adopted, the Local Development Plan will form the basis for determining planning applications and guide future development in the Perth and Kinross area.
